About the artist

Walker - photographer and digital artist
Born in the east end of London, I have been interested in photography for many years and my inspiration comes from many sources. Recently I have been inspired by the work of American photographer, Richard A. Hilker, which has the look of the finest of renaissance paintings, with a softness of light which seemed impossible but with a clarity that captured every minute detail. On discovering his images had been created using a scanner, I soon discovered I could create equally beautiful images.

Richard Hilker has since become a good friend and mentor, and I greatly value his friendship, which continues to inspire me.

More recenty, I have been inspired by the optical art of Bridget Riley. I love the lines and patterns and the way they catch the eye and deceive the brain. For the first time since leaving school, I have been working on several pieces, starting from a blank canvas. It is a journey I am thoroughly enjoying.

Now living in Deptford, south east London, I am a member of the Blackheath Art Society and my work has been exhibited in the UK and America and has been sold in many countries around the world.

All of the pleasure I get from my work comes from sharing so I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed creating it for you.
